Actually, a few days ago I happened upon YouTube videos about religious trauma. There are organizations that help people who have been traumatized by their churches. These people are not brought to a changing or deepening faith. They become atheists because of the damage that has been done to their psyches. They have PTSD and other mental health issues. So, they see any form of religion or spirituality as evil.
