Amen, brother! You and I are in total agreement. This was the most fantastic writing that I have read in a very long time. It explains the truth and the lies that some people claim in the name of Jesus. Even "Peter’s intentional shunning of a minority group within the Family of Jesus" relates to many people today who call themselves Christians but do not follow Jesus. This not only applies to gays but also the fact that they try to prevent asylum seekers from entering the US knowing that their ancestors took this land from the Native people or the fact that they are racists against fellow Christians or non-Christians--their neighbors who Jesus told them to love.
