Christian Hate Isn’t Christian
Early this morning, I replied to a question on the subreddit r/Christian. The question was “Are there any conversion therapy places left? I am transgender and gay and I don’t want to be like this anymore. I’m scared and don’t want to go to hell.”
Several people replied that there were organizations that would help. Really?
I will write my reply in a moment but I need to say that as God would have it, right after I posted my reply I went to check my email and saw the Medium story by James Finn “This Gay Boy Tried to Die. He and His Mom Are Desperate to Talk to You. Rabbit holes of right-wing misinformation almost killed Mark.”
Here was another appalling story about a young gay person who couldn’t stand the bullying that he was receiving and so tried to end his life.
It is not Christian to hate, period. When you read what I wrote on Reddit, you will begin to get the picture of what is really going on here.
There is one more thing that I need to tell you. This hate isn’t coming from all Christians. In fact, people who actually are Christians don’t feel this way at all. There is even a movement being born which might solve this problem. I am working very hard to try to help this movement to gather momentum.
