Let me add to what you have said. God showed me tongues. A devout Christian spoke in tongues to show me what it was. Since I like and study languages, I could see that this was genuine languages. It had word order, sentence structure and coherence as any language would.
It would be perfectly possible for someone to speak in a different language without having studied that language. That is a form of quickening. God can give us any information that we need for His purpose.
Since you are speaking of fake tongues, I want to explain how to know the difference between genuine tongues and fake tongues. Tongues is real but people need to beware of false prophets using fake tongues. When someone says yay babababa or something similar, that is someone faking tongues. I realized this long ago when I saw Robert Tilton faking tongues and halting the Holy Spirit from speaking to ask for money. No one would stop the Holy Spirit to ask for money except a scam artist. He was not in the spirit. He preached the false Prosperity Gospel which completely goes against the teachings of Jesus who said this.
Matthew 6:24 “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”

Two things are true. God is science and liars lie. Anyone who studies languages will be able to pick out fake tongues from genuine tongues. Fake tongues is just babble.
