He explained that he was writing about certain "Christians", the evangelical Christians who are usually seen as fundamentalist evangelical Protestant Christians. He wasn't smearing Catholic Christians. He was just singling out a certain group of people who consider themselves Christians while teaching the opposite of what Jesus taught.

Let's start with the fact that denominations are a schism in the true church which is the body of Christ, all true believers in and followers of Jesus instead of the followers of the dogma of men. Jesus didn't like human rules. Neither did Isaiah. That is who Jesus quoted. Yet, we now have over 30,000 denominations each teaching their own beliefs instead of the teachings of Jesus.
