I have a few things for you to add to your arsenal. I teach hateful people about the truth of Jesus constantly.

First, the Bible isn't inerrant. Jesus said so. Start with this passage. It is my clobber passage for them.

John 7:22 "Yet, because Moses gave you circumcision (though actually it did not come from Moses, but from the patriarchs), you circumcise a boy on the Sabbath."

Then, explain that circumcision of the heart is what Jesus was speaking of, Deuteronomy 10:16-19, Deuteronomy 30:6, Romans 2:29.

Jesus taught perfect Judaism which is the perfect truth of God. Everything He said is in the Hebrew scriptures, the Old Testament. What He taught was what is of God and what is not of God but of men in the Hebrew scriptures. That is exactly what He was teaching.

There are also these passages. Mark 7:14-16, Mark 7:19, Matthew 15:11, Matthew 15:17-20, all against food prohibitions and Mark 12:33, Isaiah 1:11, sacrifices and offerings. Jesus said that none of these was from God. So, they were from men. Leviticus is the most used book to hate gay people but Leviticus is full of sacrifices, offerings and food prohibitions. It did not come from God but from men. Leviticus even goes against the covenant that God made with Noah after the Great Flood.

Genesis 9:3 Everything that lives and moves about will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything.

Then, you can explain that Paul and the other writers after the death and resurrection of Jesus got things wrong that went completely against the teachings of Jesus.

Acts 15 is about the Council at Jerusalem. Paul was very adamant about no physical circumcision for Gentiles but he completely missed the point of what Jesus was saying when he agreed to food prohibitions.

Acts 15:19-20

19 “It is my judgment, therefore, that we should not make it difficult for the Gentiles who are turning to God. 20 Instead we should write to them, telling them to abstain from food polluted by idols, from sexual immorality, from the meat of strangled animals and from blood."

Paul got it right when he said this. Was Paul bipolar or was there more than one writer?

Romans 8:1-4

8 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in the flesh, 4 in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

I can give you many more passages like the fact that Jesus commanded that His followers love their neighbors, Matthew 22:34-40 ("All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”), who is everyone, Luke 10:25-37, and that He said not to judge others, Matthew 7:1-5. Suffice it to say, that I always tell any hateful "Christian" that they need to study the four Gospels then compare what Jesus said to the other passages in the Bible. If they don't do this, they aren't following Jesus and if they aren't followers of Jesus, they aren't Christians, John 14:23-24, 1 John 3:10.

God is love, not hate.

1 John 4:8 Whoever does not love does not know God because God is love.
