I have lived overseas but not in the Philippines. Even though we might not have the same level of corruption, we do have a great amount of corruption. Lobbyists who pay for political favors comes to mind. That affects everyone in the United States. I do believe that we have a lot of good people here but, even here, in some places, bribes to help to "grease the wheel". I'm thinking of a few places that I lived down south where it did happen while I lived there.
