I lived in the south and saw racism too. I couldn't wait to get out of there and come back to New York. The south is frightening to me and I don't scare easily. And as I often say, many people who call themselves Christians aren't Christians. They just use the name. They have no concept of love your neighbor or even love God. I want to say, too, that I am very proud of you and amazed by you for continuing to live life to the fullest after a stroke. So so many people in my family have had strokes. I probably will at some point. It seems to run in the family on both sides. The thing is that most people don't pick themselves up and go on with life. They while away their time simply believing that they are a victim and can't do anything. I'm similar to you in that I have health issues but, as I told my children, I will keep going until I die. I don't believe in sitting around feeling sorry for myself. You have to make lemonade out of the lemons you are given. God bless you, Dear.
