I never attempted to mold my children into any school of thought. I wanted them to simply be themselves. This worked well. One has many degrees including a master's. One started her own business and does well. One is a vineyard manager and winemaker simply because he liked wine. I never pushed them to excel. I allowed them to determine their own paths. With this, they are happy. That is the greatest achievement in life. If you excel at something that you don't enjoy, are you actually excelling at all?
