OMG. I guess I didn't watch the news recently. She was one of my favorite people, not just as a singer but as a person. She was real and good. She went through some of the same things I did. She was one of my idols and I usually don't have idols except God.

I knew that she was getting older and I thought about the fact that she would pass one day but I didn't think that today would be that day. I know that she was in ill health but I just kept holding on to the idea that she would be okay.

Thank you, again, President Obama for bringing the important news to many of us.
