Or you could read the words of Jesus to see what He actually said instead conforming to human rules which Jesus spoke against. You can only be a Christian if you are a follower of Jesus. You can only be a follower of Jesus if you, well, follow Jesus. Jesus spoke against many of the Old Testament scriptures.

Here are a few passages--this gets long, so I will just give you the passage and verse numbers. You can look them up in your Bible. Some are from John and Paul but they agree with the teachings of Jesus.

John 7:22, Mark 7:14-16, Mark 12:33, Matthew 22:37-40, Mark 10:18-20, Mark 7:19, Romans 8:1-17, Genesis 9:3, Acts 15, 1 Corinthians 13, Matthew 24:12-14, Romans 1:28-32, Matthew 7:21-23, John 14:23-24, 1 John 3:10, Mark 7:6-8.
