Thank you. After reading the other replies, I would like to say that whether these verses were in earlier versions or not, it does show something that I know. That is that man had his hand in the Bible. Every word is not divinely inspired as some would state. I know of other things such as the fact that the ending of Mark's Gospel was written in to match the other Gospels. The original did not have the resurrection of Jesus. The Apocrypha was removed by Martin Luther because the books were not canonized in the Jewish Bible. The problem was they are scriptural to Jews. They just came after the canonization of the Jewish Bible. One example is the stories of the Maccabees which are the stories of why Jews celebrate Chanukah. The candles represent the number of days that the oil burned in the lamp in the temple even though there was only one cruse of olive oil that the Greeks had not contaminated. Thus the Menorah has eight days worth of candles and the one in the center to light the others. Chanukah is about the miracles of God. This should be important to Christians as well. Jesus was a Jew. There are other things but what is really important to me is that God is love, not hate, and not the giver of worldly rules. All of His rules pertain to love, even the Ten Commandments. Don't hurt other people. People using Christianity today seek power without regard to how they hurt other people, store their treasures up on earth and do many other ungodly things. I want the truth known. John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Lies come from satan (lower case intended--disrespect) through men. Unfortunately, today satan works through many people who call themselves Christians. Many Christians today do the opposite of everything that Jesus taught. In other words, they help satan.
