Thank you for saying all of this. That is absolutely true. I am a Christian who speaks against "Christians" to explain the truth of God. It is exceptionally patriarchal which is not what Jesus taught or demonstated. Yet, they use a few minor passages in the New Testament that were obviously written by patriarchal men in the early church. I always explain that God is a spirit and does not have a sex. God does not have genitalia. So, God would not choose for men to be in charge of women. Men would choose to be in charge of women.
