Thank you. Many claps. This explains why my misogynist brother prefers the ESV.
You might want to point Jeff to the actual Hebrew translation https://www.chabad.org/library/bible_cdo/aid/8167/jewish/Chapter-3.htm. Whenever I have a question about OT translations, I look at the actual Hebrew translation.
Bereshit (Genesis) - Chapter 3
16 To the woman He said, "I shall surely increase your sorrow and your pregnancy; in pain you shall bear children. And to your husband will be your desire, and he will rule over you."
You might also want to explain that God is a spirit. God doesn't have genitalia and make babies. God is not a male. Men decided to shape God into having male qualities because patriarchal men wrote the books of the Bible. And Jesus said that many passages in the Hebrew scriptures were from men, not God. In fact, what He taught was what was from God and what was from men. No, the Bible isn't the inerrant word of God. Jesus said so.
