First, I always thought that the "Left Behind" series of books was ridiculous. They were selling millions of these books based on pretty much nothing. I never read them and I have no desire to do so. Just money makers for the authors and publishers.

Second, I have been very upset with "Christians" who believe that God ordained that the United States was destined to be a Christian nation. I have told these racists that God did not approve of people coming into a country, taking over, murdering people, sending their children away to boarding schools to become white and forcing the original inhabitants onto small, unfarmable pieces of land. No, the United States was not ordained by God to be a Christian nation. It is a nation for freedom of religion for all people of all religions.

Then, these same people, who refuse to make amends to those they have hurt but continue to hurt them, don't even mention the slave Bible or the truth of what Jesus taught. They very much go against the teachings of Jesus because money is their god.

Matthew 6:24 "No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money."

They don't even get that when Jesus does return, it will not be them who He will welcome as part of His flock because of their lack of love for their fellow man. Instead, He will push them away.

Matthew 7:22-23

22 "Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'"

Your story goes along with all of this very well. It even helps to explain white "Christian" Nationalism which is, of course, racist.
