The problem is, as I replied to Dan, that Jesus came to teach the truth but very few have listened to Him. He said that the Bible is not the inerrant word of God. He said that the patriarchs made up rules John 7:22. He spoke against everything in the Hebrew scriptures, the OT, that was not from God but was from men.
After the death and resurrection of Jesus, Paul wrote things that went against the teachings of Jesus too.
If everyone had followed the teachings of Jesus, which are in the four Gospels, we would be living in Utopia instead of being on the verge of extinction. He said to love our fellow man and to love God, not money. Selfishness and greed caused global warming and everything else that is wrong in this world. Yet, few study His words and even fewer follow His teachings.
I explain this until I am blue in the face but I feel as if I am spinning my wheels. Christianity is out of control and has become evil. That isn't God's fault. That is man's fault. Man always goes in wrong directions and gravitates to evil.
