The truth is the Word. Jesus is the Word. If people listen to Jesus and do as He said to do, there isn’t any interpretation. We study the Bible to see what Jesus said. Once we know what that was, we go in the right direction.

Luke 6:46
46 “Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?

2 Timothy 2:15
15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.

People twist the Word, take things out of context, and forget to apply Jesus to the equation. That isn’t Christian.

Matthew 22:36–40
36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

How do you love God with all of your heart and soul?

John 14:21
21 Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.”

1 John 4:7–8
7 Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

If you understand these truths, you understand Jesus. Anything that goes against these truths is not from God. My favorite book in the Bible is the Gospel of John. It explains everything. If people follow all of this, the truth is not twisted. When people take things out of context, it is not truthful. It is what people want you to believe, not what Jesus wants to tell you. People have ulterior motives.

John 8:44
44 You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

1 John 2:4
4 Whoever says, “I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person.

Study the Bible yourself. I have given Bible passages and they are the words that Jesus spoke and the words that keep with His teachings. Check to see if I have the correct interpretation. There is no other interpretation.
