To me, it simply falls into place if you understand what Jesus was about. Jesus was about love. God is love. Love is always what is important. When a person commits adultery, he or she is not loving to the spouse or even to the person he or she is committing adultery with. Sexual immorality is any sex that is without love. So, someone who has sex with a stranger or with numerous people with no commitment, is not doing so with love. It is not at all about which sexual identity a person has. It is about love versus a lack of love. And God doesn’t make rules to hurt us. God’s rules are to help us. When we can’t love, we are actually hurting ourselves because we are dulling our emotions and seeking a physical connection without a spiritual connection. This might feel good for a minute but, in the long run, we are turning away from a greater happiness. Love is the greatest emotion we can feel. Everything else, every other emotion, falls short of this. Many supposed Christians who make up the rules have no conception of what Jesus was about. Are those people actually Christians?
