Well, you have to think about what Jesus said. Anything that goes against His teachings are not of God. That includes parts of the Bible. I'm sorry but, no, the Bible is not perfect and Jesus said so. He explained which of the scriptures were of God and which weren't.
Matthew 5:38-40, John 7:22, Matthew 5:43-44, Matthew 15:17-20, Mark 7:14-16, Luke 16:13-15, Mark 12:33, Matthew 15:11, Mark 7:19.
If you aren't following the teachings of Jesus, are you a Christian? John 14:23-24.
It isn't just believing that Jesus existed. Even the demons believe that.
James 2:19 You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.
It is in loving God by following the teachings and commands of Jesus.
John 14:23-24
23 Jesus replied, "Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. 24 Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me."
Matthew 22:34-40
34 Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. 35 One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: 36 "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?"
37 Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."
ALL THE LAW AND THE PROPHETS HANG ON THESE TWO COMMANDMENTS.
Matthew 7:22-23
22 "Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’' 23 Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'"
This is why the gate is narrow.
Matthew 7:13-14
13 "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it."
