Yes, other countries do have race and racism. I was thinking of those that don't when I wrote this reply. I should not have written this without thinking it through thoroughly and I apologize. I was thinking of the Caribbean and many South American countries. I have known many people from these areas and I know how they view the differences in people. They don't. They view people by nationality and not "race". I also thought of England which I know has some racism but not as much as the United States and Germany.

I have often thought that people will find any excuse to hate other people no matter what. People can have the same exact ethnicity but will hate others because of relgious differences, economic status or anything else that they can use against others. However, Europeans did cause this hatred and Americans of European decent are still predominantly in power in the United States. They are the evil nationalists, particularly Christian nationalists who use religion in an effort to continue their dominance in this country.

The Rwandan Genocide never leaves my mind because, as we all know, it was horrific. This was a case of people of the same"race" who had been divided by the colonists from the Netherlands who forced them to distinguish themselves based on "race" even though they were all of African decent. Their ancestors were from Ethiopia or Chad. That was the distinction. So, the Hutus ended up killing mass numbers of Tutsis.

The Holocaust was also people of the same "race" but one group decided to kill mass numbers of other people based on religious differences.

In India, there are still the untouchables. They are of the same "race" but are classified based on economic status.

In my heart, I know that any animosity toward others is wrong. If all people cared for other people regardless of race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, economic status or any other factor, our world would be filled with peace instead of the violence that we now have. I don't have a good answer for this hatred that mankind has developed. I just know that it is evil.
