You know, I think that the dogmatic "Christians" are threatened by your true Christianity. You walked away from a denominational viewpoint and into the arms of Jesus. That was a good thing. So, expect that those who have not done so will feel pressured to either continue their ruse or accept the fact that you came into the light and the truth. In which case, they must examine their own viewpoint. That threatens many people.
It is the same as any cult. I went to several cult database websites and explained to them that cults should not be labeled as a small number of people. Cults are any group of people who are under the malicious control of another. They are those who are deceived and forced into a situation where they go against themselves, mankind or God. There is no difference if it is a church, a denomination or a large group of people of several denominations who are misguided. This is cult behavior.
There is such a thing as right and wrong, good and evil. You know the difference. They don't or they do but they are afraid to face the truth, uncertain of which direction to go or fearful of repercussions if they go against the cult leaders.
Not having been raised in a church, having instead an atheist upbringing, I don't feel at all concerned about what they have to say against me. I am not coming to terms with walking away from a corrupted system. Instead, I simply believe that it is important to explain the truth to them.
Jesus spoke of human rules and traditions Mark 7:6-8 in reference to Isaiah 29:13. It is very hard for me to see people who choose to follow Jesus having to explain their decision to those who are not followers of Jesus. The words of Jesus are what is true, right and good. They are what is of God. To see what you have written is disheartening. As you are explaining why you walked away from ungodliness, there are those who are so caught up in lies that they feel a need to speak against you. Then, you feel a need to explain yourself.
Personally, I seek out the cult members so that I can explain the truth using the words of Jesus. I make every effort to cause them to see the error of their ways. When, I have done so, I have the hope that they will then tell others the truth. Christianity has been usurped by evil. Satan is in many churches. So, expect more animosity as you continue to speak the truth of God. The battle is raging but rest assured that God will win the war.
